My Story

Hi, I'm Cesar David Galindo, a senior at East Hampton High School. I come from a Colombian background and was raised by my mom, a proud immigrant who took on everything for our family.

Growing up in a single-parent household wasn't always easy. Things moved fast, and there was always something going on. Writing became the one place where everything slowed down. It gave me a sense of calm and a way to understand what I was feeling. Journaling and even my early attempts at writing stories became a big part of my life, even when I didn't fully realize it at the time.

It wasn't until high school that I started to understand how much weight words can carry, and my writing began to feel more intentional and grounded.

More recently, taking a dual enrollment writing and English course through Syracuse pushed me to take my writing more seriously. It gave me the chance to explore both creative and structured ideas in a deeper way, and made me realize how much I enjoy challenging myself through writing.

As I prepare to continue this path in college, I want to keep growing—both creatively and personally—and continue using writing as a way to explore ideas, experiences, and perspective. This site is a reflection of that process.
